The animation while not as good as The Lion King, isn't bad at all. And the way they all interact with each other just works so well.Īfter all that, it's very hard to pick an overall better film, I enjoy them both but I think The Prince of Egypt takes the slight edge. Timone and Pumba are timeless comedic reliefs. Scar is a fantastic antagonist, the Hyena's while stupid are also very menacing. Mufasa is a wonderful and powerful father figure and the voice acting is great. And the undertaking of adapting a biblical story in a way that makes it entertaining and easily digestible for all people of different ages and backgrounds while also remaining respectful to the story and the Abrahamic faiths without offending anyone I'm sure was a big challenge.Ĭharacters goes to the Lion King. The Exodus story is a timeless and culturally important story to so many people of different faiths and backgrounds around the world. The woman who sings in Deliver Us actually sings it in multiple different languages, the Hebrew version is especially good and powerful.įor the Story I'm gonna go with The Prince of Egypt. Both the musical numbers and the scores are masterful, and the vocal performances are incredible. Classic Disney always knocks it out of the park. I give the animation edge to The Lion King, the art and movement of all the different animals are gorgeous.
